Song Premiere: Oort Patrol – “Surfing with the Aliens”

Triangle punk rockers shred cosmic waves as part of a globetrotting 4-way split, out October 10th

Boared to Death Records and Wreckoning Cru Records are gearing up for the release of 8 from 4, an explosive four-way split of DIY punk rock. Today, we’re premiering one half of Oort Patrol’s contributions to the project — “Surfing with the Aliens” — which perfectly showcases the band’s trademark “punk rock meets science fiction” sound.

Hailing from across the Triangle, Oort Patrol has built a reputation for delivering fast-paced punk that’s as fun as it is ferocious. Fresh off last year’s concept album Human Vice President, the band remains as catchy as they are mosh pit-friendly with this track. And let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want to surf with some aliens instead of being on this needlessly chaotic planet right now?

Joining Oort Patrol on the split are Wilmington’s Record Highs; Father Fury out of Atlanta, Georgia; and Ten Cent Tiger from Perth, Australia. Each band brings a distinct flavor to a global celebration of DIY punk.
